As Chief Financial Officer, Deacon LaRese is responsible for integrating “THE WORD” Church’s financial operations and systems, maintaining monthly financial analysis and reporting processes, improving the efficiency of financial reporting systems and overseeing all of the financial practices of the ministry. Since coming aboard in late 2007, Deacon Larese has developed a financial reporting staff, restructured and added new positions to the Accounting Department. He also successfully developed and executed a turnaround plan resulting in the viable acquisition of various other properties.
Previously he worked in the finance industry for more than seven years with First Merit Bank. Within various financial institutions he has handled investments, small business banking and client services. Throughout his career his creativity has become known in turn-around efforts which result in cost savings and increased profitability.
Deacon LaRese is a graduate of The University of Toledo (UT), where he earned a dual bachelor of arts degree in Business Administration with a major in Pharmaceutical Sales and Marketing. He received his masters in Business Administration (MBA) in 2005 from UT. He and his lovely wife of ten years, Tiesha, reside in Hudson, Ohio. Together, they share the call to ministry and are the proud parents of two children, Gabriella and Gaven.
