Elder Stacy Collins serves as the Chief of Staff at “THE WORD” Church. Starting off as a ministry volunteer at “THE WORD” Church, Elder Collins faithfully served in the Parking and Transportation ministries, also serving as a Deacon, and then, Minister. His faithfulness in these areas allowed God to shift him into full-time ministry managing all ministries prior to his promotion to Elder and Chief of Staff. Elder Collins has a powerful testimony of overcoming obstacles on the streets of Cleveland to becoming a Spirit-filled leader. He is evidence of what God can do with a life that is humbled and submitted before Him.
Elder Collins states, “I never knew that God was going to turn my mess into my ministry. I am thankful that all of my past experiences were not in vain. They can now be used as a tool and reference to minister to other individuals; especially men who think that there is no life outside of the streets. If God can take me (the least of them) and turn my life around, He can do the same for anyone who surrenders to His will.”
Since being under the motivating teaching of Pastor R.A. Vernon, Elder Collins has went from GED to earning an associates degree in Business Administration, Bachelors of Arts (Concentration in Management) from Malone University, and a Diploma of Theology from Ashland Theological Seminary. With a similar passion for education as his pastor, Elder Collins will begin to pursue his Masters Degree in Public Administration in January of 2010.
He is married to his lovely wife, Tameka, while raising two children, Daion and Stacy Jr.
