Elder Wayne Hoye serves as Director of Outreach and dually as Pastoral Services Liaison. Elder Hoye manages outreach programs, services and projects geared toward economic empowerment (GED and Job Readiness Training). He manages our community feedings and heads the major outreach initiatives for “THE WORD” Church. Elder Hoye also manages the volunteer leadership of other service areas of outreach, which include the Prison Ministry, Visitation Ministry, Seasoned Saints Ministry and the Community Impact Ministry, which is the largest of “THE WORD” Church. In addition, Elder Hoye oversees our Court Community Service program. As the Pastoral Care Liaison, Elder Hoye prepares Pastor Vernon with the announcements, order of service items, and handles general ecclesial and preaching duties in lieu of Pastor Vernon’s absence. Elder Hoye is also responsible for the general management of “THE WORD” Christian Bookstore.
A gifted, yet humble servant, Elder Hoye is also an energetic and passionate preacher. Elder Hoye is the proud husband of Melinda Hoye, who serves alongside our First Lady in the Women’s Ministry. They are the proud parents of two children.
