Ways To Worship At “THE WORD”

OUR SERVICES

WORD SOUTH (WARRENSVILLE HEIGHTS, MAIN CAMPUS)

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE @ 6PM

Saturday Night Live is designed for people who like the idea of attending church on Saturday evening, then perhaps going out to enjoy dinner and a movie, without having to get up on Sunday morning to attend service. With that in mind, this service only lasts one hour and fifteen minutes. Saturday Night Live is a contemporary service that features our Praise & Worship Team, any variety of our Performing Arts Ministry, including dance, mime, and other forms of creative expression, and an inspired Word from our Pastor. This service appeals to a multicultural crowd, as well as visitors who don’t want to service at their own church on Sunday.

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE “THE REMIX” TEEN CHURCH @ 5PM

Our Teen service is designed for young people between the ages of 12 – 18 and is designed to reach our youth by utilizing programs, services, and activities that appeal to them, while instructing and training them in the Word in a manner appropriate to their level of understanding. We encourage all parents who have children that fall in this age group to bring them to church on Saturdays at 5pm, and even stay over for our Saturday Night Live service at 6pm.

SUNDAY @ 8:00AM

This is our more conservative, abbreviated service designed for the mature, business-minded, or professional individual. The musical portion of this service is provided solely by our Praise & Worship Team, immediately followed by Dr. R.A. Vernon as he brings forth an anointed Word fresh out of the oven. If you enjoy a more reserved service with pedagogical instruction and a smaller crowd, then this service is perfect for you. Those who like the idea of being out of church early will love the fact that this service lasts only one hour; from 8am – 9am.

SUNDAY @ 10:00AM

This service is for the person who wants it all.  In addition to praise and worship, this service often features our choir and/or dramatic presentations from our Performing Arts Ministry.  This is a high-energy service designed for the person who doesn’t want to wake up too early on Sunday, but also doesn’t want to come too late and lasts an hour and a half. Attendees of this service span the gamut in terms of age, race, and social demography.

SUNDAY @ 1:00PM

This is what we call our “crazy” service. It is designed for the person who works hard all week and just doesn’t want to wake up early on Sunday. Our Praise & Worship Team sings, our choir ministers, and since it’s our late service, there is normally lengthier, more liberated worship. It’s awesome! Unlike the earlier Sunday services, there are no time constraints so you never know what to expect at this contemporary, high-spirited service. This service appeals to people who like plenty of singing, plenty of dancing, and are simply not in a hurry; however, service still lasts approximately an hour and a half.

WEDNESDAY @ 12 NOON (POWER HOUR BIBLE STUDY)

Power Hour Bible Study is designed for the person who loves the idea of coming to a one-hour Bible study on their lunch break for an afternoon spirit-lift and then going right back to work; for those who have their own business with the flexibility to come and go; or for the stay-at-home mom who wants to get a Word and still have time to manage the household duties. It is also for our wonderful seasoned saints who like to get their Word early so that they can have the rest of the day to themselves. This service lasts exactly one hour so we’re done by 1pm, as Dr. Vernon is cognizant and respectful of your other obligations.

WEDNESDAY @ 7PM (BELIEVER’S NIGHT BIBLE STUDY)

The teaching/preaching is a little longer and we dig a little deeper at Believer’s Night since we don’t have the same time constraints as we do at our other Wednesday services. This is a lively service and draws our largest crowd of the day. Believer’s Night is designed for the individual who wants to go home after work, get their family situated, and then come back out for worship and Word.  This service lasts approximately one hour and fifteen minutes.

WORD AKRON (NORTH HIGH SCHOOL/TALMADGE ROAD & GORGE BOULEVARD)

SUNDAY @ 9:45AM

This service is to Akron what the 10:00am service is to WORD South. It is upbeat and lively, and often features our Creative Arts Team ministering through drama, dance, and/or mime.  At “THE WORD” CHURCH’s Akron and Canton locations, Dr. Vernon has entrusted Campus Pastor Wayne Hoye with the spiritual and managerial authority to lead the congregation, so Pastor Hoye often teaches and preaches at these locations. No worries though; the word is consistent. Pastor Hoye preaches the same message at WORD Akron and WORD Canton that Dr. Vernon teaches at the Cleveland campuses.

SUNDAY @ 12:45PM

Providing the same lively praise and worship and uplifting message as the 10:00am service, this service is a later alternative for those who like to sleep a little longer on Sunday but still get out by afternoon.

WEDNESDAY @ 7:00PM (BELIEVER’S NIGHT BIBLE STUDY)

This service is the Akron version of WORD South’s 7pm Bible Study. Tailored to the believer who wants in-depth teaching, this service lasts a little longer than Power Hour Bible Study and the instruction is more extensive.

WORD CANTON (TIMKEN HIGH SCHOOL/TUSCARAWAS STREET)

SUNDAY @ 11:15AM

This service is spirited and exciting, much like our other midmorning/afternoon services. The only real distinction is the start time and the location. Canton area residents can expect enriching worship and enlightening Word from either Dr. Vernon or Pastor Hoye.

WEDNESDAY @ 6PM (HAPPY HOUR BIBLE STUDY)

Our “Happy Hour” Bible Study is geared toward those who like the idea of an early evening service, with worship and Word, and then having the rest of their evening to themselves. These are one-hour Bible Studies that begin at 6pm, are over by 7pm.

WORD NORTH (EAST TECH HIGH SCHOOL/E. 55TH)

SUNDAY @ 11:45AM

This service is designed for individuals who live near the downtown area or the west side of Cleveland and features lively praise and worship immediately followed by our Pastor preaching. Service lasts about an hour and a half and has a unique energy due to the fact that this service, like our other satellites, is held in a school and not in traditional church facility. WORD North is conveniently located near downtown Cleveland on E. 55th Street.

WEDNESDAY @ 6PM (HAPPY HOUR BIBLE STUDY)

Our Happy Hour Bible Study is geared toward those who like the idea of an early evening service, with worship and Word, and then having the rest of their evening to themselves. This is a one-hour Bible Study that begins at 6pm, and is over by 7pm.

WORD EAST (SHAW HIGH SCHOOL/EUCLID AVENUE)

SUNDAY @ 9:45AM

This service presents a great opportunity to get in early (but not too early), and get out early, without compromising the quality of the worship and Word. WORD East is easily accessible, located in the heart of East Cleveland at the intersection of Euclid and Shaw Avenue.

SUNDAY @ 11:45AM

This service is meant for the individual who likes to get plenty of rest on Sunday morning, but still be home in time for their Sunday afternoon leisurely activities. Expect no less than any other service—this service will give you the inspiration and impartation you need to get through the week.
