The Counseling & Small Groups Department at “THE WORD” Church endeavors to meet the needs of hurting people. We offer professional counseling, spiritual guidance, and a variety of small groups to aid the spiritual and emotional development of our congregation and the Greater Cleveland community. We desire to provide services that will enhance the body of Christ and community by bringing healing and wholeness in areas that have caused challenges and struggles in one’s life.

GRIEF RECOVERY – Grief Recovery is a small group for individuals dealing with issues of grief/loss. Loss can come from a variety of lifestyle changes, death, divorce, loss of trust, losing a job and other life actions in which a person may restructure their life. Grief Recovery is offers classes for Men & Women and Teens.
When Children Grieve (for children dealing with issues of grief/loss).

Boundaries (Learning How to Say “No”)
Breaking the Silence (Emotional, Physical & Mental Abuse)
Healing the Father Wounds (Father Hurts/Wounds)
Healing the Mother Wounds (Mother Hurts/Wounds)
Establishing Healthy Boundaries:  This groups is for people who don’t know how to say “NO” and find themselves burdened, overwhelmed, frustrated or always “crossing the lines”.
Safe People: Women learning how to identify and move into safe relationships
