Wednesday, March 24th
9am – Staff Meeting with Pastor R. A. Vernon
Experience the interaction between Pastor Vernon and his staff. See how they generate new ideas, how they develop strategies for successful marketing campaigns, programs, and outreach initiatives, how they plan events, how they work through ministry challenges, and more!
10am – Weekly/Weekend Service Creative Team Meeting
See how Pastor Vernon and his Creative Team brainstorm together to come up with ways to make the worship experiences at “THE WORD” CHURCH more engaging. In this meeting you’ll see how concepts for stage designs, audio/video presentations, and dramatic performances are devised and planned. You’ll also witness how they identify areas for improvement and how they forecast to address any issues that may arise or may have been pinpointed during a previous service.
12pm – “Power Hour” Midday Word Bible Study
Learn relevant teaching (and methodology) from Pastor Vernon, while at the same time observing how he preaches to two different locations simultaneously! It’s 21st Century ministry at its best—using technology to serve dual purposes!
1:30pm – Lunch/Open
Enjoy a Dutch-style lunch with Pastor and Lady Vernon at B & M Restaurant, located on-site at “THE WORD” CHURCH.
5:15pm – Departure for Satellite Location
The bus departs from “THE WORD” CHURCH main location to go to satellite location for our 6pm “Happy Hour” Bible Study. At this location, you will have the opportunity to see firsthand the response from guests viewing the DVD of the earlier 12 noon Midday Word service. You will personally see the effectiveness of this approach to teaching and conducting service and how seamlessly the service flows in comparison to the other services.
7:00pm – Return to Main Location
Witness how Pastor Vernon transitions from one service to another (using assistants to conclude the service he has to leave in order to make it to the next service, which is already in progress, in time to preach; traveling through the city back to the main location, etc). Sit in on our Believer’s Night, our final Bible Study of the day, by far our largest crowd of the day, and enjoy one last Word before going back to your hotel for the evening.
Thursday, March 25th
9am – Continental Breakfast
10am – Kingdom Concepts, Principles, Methodology, etc.
Pastor Vernon will discuss a myriad of subjects related to ministry, leadership, and theology. Ask him your most pressing questions; dialogue with him openly about your issues, concerns, plans, and any other ministry-related topics on your mind.
11:30am – Delicious All-You-Can-Eat Buffet Lunch (Included in Registration Fee)
1:15pm – Special Breakout Sessions with Pastor Vernon & Lady Vernon
In this session, you will have the opportunity to have a more intimate discussion with Pastor & Lady Vernon. Feel free to share your heart regarding your ministry (and ministry in general) with them. Learn from their knowledge, wisdom, and experience firsthand as they openly share their heart with you. (Senior Pastors Only with Pastor Vernon; First Spouses Only with Lady Vernon).
3:30pm – Prayer of Impartation
This time of reconvening will be for those who would like prayer and a special touch from Pastor Vernon. He will pray for each individual who requests it addressing specific areas of need or desire.
