Victory Vernon, affectionately referred to as “Lady Vernon,” is a native of Cleveland, Ohio, the wife of Pastor R. A. Vernon, and the First Lady of “THE WORD” Church. A Christian woman of virtue, poise, and grace, Lady Vernon is known for her endless love and wisdom, which she pours unreservedly into the women of “THE WORD” Church. Lady Vernon holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Capital University. She is the director of Women’s Ministry at “THE WORD” Church and the director of an off-site outreach ministry.
Lady Vernon’s passion is ministering to women who are broken and hurting and assisting them in achieving spiritual and emotional wholeness. One of her primary goals is to help women discover their God-given purpose. Both in word and deed, she encourages women to be naturally and spiritually healthy.
She is the primary teacher of our Women’s Bible Study, which as its name denotes, is a Bible study specifically for women. The class is held periodically throughout the year and focuses on women’s issues, both biblical and practical. Using the no-nonsense candor she has come to be known and loved for, Lady Vernon often uses creative illustrations and concepts to deliver her messages, celebrating womanhood, and inspiring women to fulfill the call that God has on their lives. She oversees all of the programs and courses offered by the Women’s Ministry.
Lady Vernon is a woman of true character, and she handles her obligation to serve in ministry alongside her husband with superb devotion. She is the model First Lady and takes her responsibilities as a wife, mother and servant of the kingdom very seriously. She is an involved mother of five wonderful children, DeMario, Dominic, Chanae, Rainnell III, and Raphael.
